| The 22nd International Awale Tournament is to be held at the 33rd International Games Festival Cannes (South of France) which takes place from Friday 22nd of February & Saturday 23rd of February 2019. There will be a Senior & Beginners/ Junior category (for under 16's and novices). Competition Starts on Friday at 11:00 am.
Round Robin will be used to manage the tournament if there are 8 or less entrants. Otherwise for nine or more entrants a seven round Swiss System will be used.
The Blitz Championship will take place on Friday 22nd February from 11:00 am. 10 mins a game (each player has 5 mins playing time): 30 mins a match. Matches: best of three.
The Rapid Championship will take place on Saturday 23rd February from 10:30 am. 20 mins a game (each player has 10 mins playing time per game): Total match 60 mins
Match best of three.
Entry fee: Adults 20 euros / Juniors 10 euros
Prize fund: Total of entry fees to be distributed to top three positioned players in a rough ratio of 3:2:1 for each competition.
Prize: Trophies (Oware Rapid) & Medals for top three positioned players in each competition and certificates of participation for other entrants.
